Speech Meet: We Return Victorious!

Hey guys, I'm back from the Speech Meet in Mooresville. The ECS Team got lots of ribbons and trophies!
Here are the results:
Showcase: 5/9 categories went to the ECS Team, we competed in 7 of the categories.
Trophies: The ECS Team got two trophies, one to Alex Savillief in 6th grade, and the other went to Brooklyn. You guys rock!
Ribbons: EVERYBODY GOT A RIBBON, AND EVERYBODY EITHER GOT 1st OR 2nd PLACE! WE ROCK!

PRO: No crazy, wacky schedules.
CON: We're allowed to have homework.
PRO: No writing big, pointless essays.

PRO: We can now use mechanical pencils instead of boring, wooden, #2 pencils.
EDIT: I know that we CAN use mechanical pencils, but they say to "refrain" from using them just in case the machine reads your answers wrong. (But I guess since we were doing the written ISTEP, it would've been ok.)

Mr. Warner recently sent out an email regarding our 7th grade class trip. It sounds AWESOME, even though I go to St. Louis about three times a year. As stated in the email:

The seventh grade trip is a brand new trip this year. they will leave out on May 10th and return on May 12th. The students will be receiving a wide array of experiences including the St. Louis Cathedral, the St. Louis Arch, the Westward Expansion Museum, the Monument to a Dream movie, the Jefferson Memorial, the St. Louis Science Center, Union Station, and the St. Louis Zoo. On the third day, the students will be serving at Jubilee Community Church through cleaning efforts. Students will have times of Bible study as well as some time to relax and play by the hotel pool and the hot tub. We will be staying at the Best Western just south of downtown.

Anyways, I'm getting WAY too ahead of myself. Anyways, the point of this post is to remind you all that we have our giant literature poem recitation starting this Thursday!!! Remember that you need a visual aid and that if you have it memorized you get bonus points.

Hey!!!!!!! For those of you who know me and were in my homeroom in 6th grade you would (OR YOU SHOULD) know that I got a hermit crab and so did my sister. Well, her's died a long time ago so mine lived the longest. And I do say LIVED because I found out this week that CARLEEY died ago few days ago. If you ever meet CARLEEY you would know that she was one of the most active hermit crabs I have ever known and she had the most spikiest shell in the world that is why I picked her.
Now don't get all teary eyed on me because you most likely have never known/ meet CARLEEY and you know what that is A okay.
So if you are suffering from any animal losses just post about them I would love to "cry" with you!

Since, no one else on the blog have been posting I have decided to step up to the plate! I honestly I don't have anything very important to talk about so my topic today is.................Randomness!
So today in Espanol class I had this urge to see how to say the word "spy" in Spanish. And you know what I did. Only the people who sit around me in 4th period Pre Algebra know how to say it (and some in 3rd period Spanish). I will not tell you and if any of them do I will hurt them in so many.... Let's stop there. So my goal today is to make you people look up how to say "spy" in Spanish.

P.S. the word "spy" means... Spy:

Okay, Lizzy briefly mentioned this in her previous post.

To Save A Life is a new movie that comes out this Friday. It is only coming to Evansville at the Stadium 16 theater on the West Side. According to various sources (church) Crossroads and First Christian Church are both going to go see it sometime this weekend. I know that Crossroads is going this Sunday at 6:00. (Anyone know about 1CC?) Anyhoo, the movie is PG13 and it comes from 3 movie making company things (one of them being the company that made Fireproof, Facing the Giants, Flywheel...) and it seems to have a very good message. BREAKOUT! 2010 Wrap-up

In short, Breakout! 2010 was a huge success, with a record attendance of 1025 middle-school kids. I attended with Bethel Temple.
While we waited for the main performance, we had some events such as a toilet paper fight, Some kids being picked to play games on stage (me being one of them,) and those kids getting a free ticket to see the new movie "To Save a Life."
We then moved on to a performance from Team Impact, a group of some of the World's Strongest Men. They performed amazing feats, such as blowing up a hot water bottle until it exploded, breaking an aluminum baseball bat, and making cans of 7UP explode(I got sprayed with 7UP!) Lucky for me, I got a front row seat. They wrapped up their performance with an awesome message about God.
After that, we went on over to Dream Center for some inflatable fun. There was a "crash room" for anybody who wanted to sleep at every location.
After I ate some pizza, I bounced a little bit before heading upstairs to play Wii, then went back downstairs for more bouncing. I made it all the way through the inflatable obstacle course, before being told I went the wrong way. Whoops.
We went to the YMCA after that. I chose to go swimming. After I took my swimming test, I jumped off the diving board a few times, then went swimming, and just generally hanging around in the water.
Then it was off to Swonders Ice Arena for Ice Skating. I stumbled and fell a few times, until I finally got the hang of it and did some laps around the ice. After that, I went over to the concession area and attempted to get an Ice cream sandwich. Each time I selected a kind of Ice Cream, the machine responded with "Make Different Selection." I finally gave up, and pressed the button for my money back. I received five dollars, in all coins. My wallet weighed a lot more after that.
Next up was the dodge ball tournament at Metro Sports Center. My team, the Panther Waffles, was out in the first round. I didn't get a chance to see who won overall, I was too busy blowing bubbles at the audience. Fun times. After that, they had a giant dodge ball game between the leaders and kids. I stayed in for awhile, because I hovered in the back. I finally got a ball and ran up to the middle line, threw it, and ran back. Whichever leader saw me throw the ball responded by hammering me in the leg with a ball. I went back to blowing bubbles.
We then went to Crossroads for donuts. They were good, but most of us were reclining against the walls until our parents came. I'm pretty sure most of us went home and slept the rest of the day.
In my opinion, Breakout! 2010 was a huge success. Big Thank yous go out to everybody who helped. Thanks guys!

Okay, hi everyone! We're baaaaack to school! Finally!

So as long as no snow and no sudden alien attacks, the spelling bee and report cards are both rescheduled for tomorrow. (NO ALIEN WILL INTERFERE WITH THE SPELLING BEE!!! NO ALIENS! NO ALIENS!!!) We're cheering on everyone from 7th grade!!! (and others... but you know, this IS a 7th grade blog...)

Hey guys!
So school is so weird! I mean I love snow how could you not, but 2 days off just for like 2 inches. That is ridiculous!
On Thursday I understand, but Friday, too! That I don't get we at least should have gotten a 2 hour delay not the whole day off!
I mean ya I went to the movies, but doesn't mean we had to miss a whole day now we miss presidents day and MLK Jr. day. This is just ridiculous!
So any way now that I am done venting. I hope you guys all had a fun snow week! I know my dogs enjoyed it! And I am sure there will be more so don't be disappointed that it is over.
See you on Monday. Which is tommorow, which my piano practice day, which my teachers name is Gina, which she has a daughter named Julia, too, which want's to be a photographer when she grows up, which is what I want to do but with words with it, which is called a photojournalist.
